Bacolod Masskara Festival

The Masskara Festival is a Three week long festival held each year in Bacolod City, the Capital of Negros Occidental Province in the Philippines, every October 19 and it is a week long celebration strat on october 1 to october 19, and it is the Charter Anniversary of the City.

The festival features a street dance compitation where people from all walks of life troop to the streets to see a colorfully masked dancer spinning to the rhythm of latin musical beats in a display of mastery, coordination, cheerfulness and energy. this year is the best celebration of masskara festival because i made new photographer buddies and many visitors local and global people who attended the celebration, as a photographer it's my first time to join and take photos in this prestigious event. But this is not the end of the event of the festival where they also celebrating the Electric Masskara in Lacson street.

The Electric Masskara has successfully earned its own distinction as another mardi gras of the festival. With the bright innovation of converting the Lacson Street. (from the 5th St. to North Drive) into a Tourism Strip as an alternative party venue to the public plaza. The birth of Electric Masskara has added glitter to the evening of the Festival. This is most fascinating and nicest festival in the province where people are made to walk through the long street of Lacson and some are eating beside the street where foods and drink is all around the place, Bands are making noise to the fullest to their nice musics. And my experience i this event was the most excellent and challenging.
